This is way too low in my opinion. I am a Louisville fan not an MSU fan, but MSU has too good a body of work to be this low. They would be in my top 10. I am actually shocked at this ranking, but I dont know your exact formula and how much weight you give certain critera. I thought the Spartans having 6 FF's and 2 titles along with 40 NCAA tournament victories would land them around 10. Just an FYI as well: Cincinnati actually has 6 FF's as well. My humble opinion of the top 10 would be: 1)UCLA 2)UK 3)UNC 4)Kansas 5)Indiana 6)Duke 7)Louisville 8)Cincinnati 9)Michigan State 10)Arkansas. You have thrown some surprises my way thus far.

In my (admittedly biased) opinion, you could bump MSU a couple spots higher. I'm assuming the next few teams will be Arizona, Florida, Maryland, NC State. But it's really just a matter of weighting peak performance (two national championships) vs. a longer track record of consistent success (11 of MSU's 22 NCAA appearances have occurred in the last 11 seasons).

After the first seven teams Adam lists above, it's a bit of a crapshoot.

N.C. State was No. 25 (the last few years killed the Pack) and Maryland and Florida both missed the top 25, but yeah, Arizona is coming up.
As to the criteria, I considered more than just the NCAA tourney, wth NBA players produced, NIT performance, overall wins and win percentage among them. Click here for more on all that.

You are killin' me Mike. The summer is long, hot and boring. Its sad but true that one of the highlights of my summer is your greatest programs list. Can you stop wasting time and put 2 or 3 teams up per week? How about if I can name all of the remaining teams left on your list, will you just give me the order already? If you have my bearcats below 10th I will cry.

OK it makes NO sense when you rank Illinois ahead of Michigan State??? How do you justify that??
