We have had the basic lineup about the same for the last 3 seasons and yet all the so called sports experts never gave them any attention. We here in Memphis knew we had something special and to see the national people ignore them amazed us. When the touranment started we were predicted to be the first number one seed to be beaten by a 16.. the results that day were that Memphis beat their team badly..the other 3 top seeds struggled. We ended up in the final 8. Last year..just a bit more respect.. we were predicted to go out in the second round...against nevada and.. if we won that..certainly in the sweet 16 against Texas A&amp;M. We won them both.. final 8...again. This year..finally some respect. It's funny.mainly the same players and nobody had the smarts to see it the last 2 years.. now..suddenly we are ranked 2 and many pick them to win it all.. Still..I notice alot of the national sports people pick against them in all the big games. I heard 2 yesterday say that although Georgetown was the better team Memphis might win due to homecourt. We beat Georgetown badly. There is not a better team in the country. Still, I read this article that praises the Tigers and yet at the end says.. maybe they won't win it this year or the next. but someday they will. Ha.. had to throw in the doubt.. Guess everybody will finally believe when they are cutting down the nets. What gets me is the so called experts.. analyzing..and.. just didn't have a clue about this team for 2 years. Said they were in a week conference ..but..if they were such experts why couldn't they see they were a great team no matter what conference they were in?????

Memphis' amazing run could end in a title

Mike Miller responds: Ron, I think the three games you list are all good teams and could derail a perfect season. Playing all three at home helps immensely, though. The Tigers should win all three. Frankly, after watching Saturday's game, it'd be a surprise if they entered March with a loss. <br>And Michael, I'll stick with Georgetown for now, but everything always changes when we get to see seeds for the NCAA Tournament, correct? After all, as you Memphis fans know, matchups are everything in March. Only Florida would've been tougher opponents for your Tigers in the last two Elite Eights.
