Quotes, TV clips

Regardless of how Bob Knight’s perceived, his wins record is an impressive achievement. That’s nearly 22 victories a season for 42 years.

But Knight will have to be remembered as a great coach, because he won’t keep that wins record for long. McDonald

Your column barely does him justice. You don't emphasize that he did so much at Indiana while insisting that his athletes graduate or that he pushed other schools to emphasize learning. That is a more worthy and lasting legacy than outtakes of him cussing on a golf show. Bobby Knight could recruit so well because parents knew he wanted their children to graduate. Your column was more entertainment than a critical evaluation of his contribution to the NCAA.

Knight's lasting legacy? Over the years he recruited four players from my former high school (Anderson Madison Heights). Because of that, there was always plenty of stories floating around this town about &nbsp;what was going on with Knight and the players in games, what was happening in practice, and general things that Knight was involved in around not only Bloomington but the rest of Indiana. Not to sound like one of Knight's many apologists around this state, but you national media types have no idea about what really went on with Knight on a daily and weekly basis. The negative stories were there for the picking, for sure, but positive stories, boring stories like how Knight started doing commercials for a local car dealership so he could raise money for Landon Turner after Turner's car accident and subsequent paralysis are never mentioned. Sure, Knight was, is and always will be an a**hole, no doubt about it. But just once, and especially now, how about something on Knight that does give a bit of balance to his career? Just once? &nbsp;

Knight's lasting legacy? I left that to our other writers (see our college hoops from here for more). It's intended to be a look at Knight's offbeat humor and how they're used. After all,&nbsp;in a digital world, those quotes and clips will endure as long as Knight's coaching legacy (which, to be clear, remains impressive).</A>

Knight's lasting legacy? I never care about beacuse of his attitude. I think Texas Tech should hire P.J Carleismo if Pat Knight doesn't do a good job. Or I would like to see Larry Brown take the job. Could you see that happening?

Knight's lasting legacy?
